Description
JUST IN TIME FOR CHRISTMAS!! (I can have this to you door in time to put it under the tree) NO RESERVE This bike was meticulously restored by a well known Rupp collector from the ground up. He stripped everything down to bare metal and professionally paint and powder coated every part. He installed new wiring, rubber, tires etc. This man does amazing work and his bikes are much sought after and usually fetch top dollar here on Ebay. It really is a piece of art as far as I am concerned. Notice the chrome fasteners, correct decals and attention to detail. I had it mounted up on the wall in my dream car garage but I work for a large bank that just got taken over and well, you watch the news… When I first got this bike, I road it about 3 times at car shows and it always got a LOT of attention. When I put it up 5 years ago it was running great and always started on the first pull (should be the same now). This bike has a magneto, so the front and rear lights work. I was told it was a 1964 c-250 by the collector that rebuilt it but I have seen a 1968 c-350 that was just like this one too so… These older Rupp Continentals are very rare, that much I do know. There are a couple chips but you have to go out of your way to notice them and they could easily be touched up with the original Kandy Red spec paint. The seat is the ORIGINAL vinyl and is soft and in remarkable shape for 40+ years (note the gold piping and Rupp screening on the back!) There is a 1.5 cm repair on the side on the seat (not top) but again, it’s not really noticeable and hardly worth mentioning. I tried taking pics of these details but they are so small that my cheap camera won’t even pick them up. * I have this bike listed locally too and I reserve the right to end the action early. I would suggest that you put your good bids in early. Shipping I have a nice metal framed pallet and professional, purpose made box and packing material from a repro mini bike that I order recently so I should be able to ship it most anywhere in the US for between $75-$150 via UPS or Fedex ground (10 day) depending on how far you live from central VA. The buyer is responsible for shipping cost (and not a penny more and actual cost). Bike and box weight about 65 LBS +/- For the purposes of the auction I will put $99 for shipping but as stated above, actual cost can vary. Feel free to pick it up too.
