Description Company comments: Scott and Butch have done it again! The Byerly Monarch is the newest addition to the family. With input from Robby, Ross and Kyle, Butch set out to build his best shape yet. Beginning with a mellow blended 3-stage rocker and shorter 9” molded fins, this shape is faster and releases off the wake quicker than previous Byerly models. New molded footbed contours keep the board rigid in the center to maintain the rocker line for consistent pop. The board then blends into a lean tip and tail for maximum flex and snap off the wake and when initiating edges. In addition to the new shape, the Monarch also features fully machined Atomic Core. This material is lighter, snappier and stronger than traditional foam core boards. At 6 ½ lbs. this is Scott’s lightest shape to date and one of the lightest on the market.
